Magnolia Shay Reed

Magi is here!!!! She decided to make her debut on Valentine's Day, which made her 3 days over due, but I love that she came that day!!! She was 6 lbs 11 0z, 19in long, and absolutely the most beautiful thing I've ever seen!! Mike and I are thrilled to have such perfect baby girl! Everything went well, except she needed some help with oxygen and getting fluid out of her lungs, but all else was well!!

So Proud

I just wanted everyone to know how proud I am of my husband. He is 32 years old and is now the 2nd counselor in our new bishopric!!! High priest for life!!! I am so thankful for him and his example to me and his diligence in the church. I am also so thankful for his worthiness to hold the priesthood and the impact the gospel has had in our lives. Its gonna be tough on Sundays, sitting alone with our new baby girl, especially since I won't be sleeping the night before. But it is where the Lord needs him and I am more than happy to support him!!

Also Mike just got Employee of the Month at his Harmon's!!!! He's so awesome!!!

Update on the ultrasound....She looked just the right size and for the most part everything looked great!! There are some questions we'll have to answer when she's born, but for now we're holding steady and can't wait for her debut!!!

Time for an update...a long one

So its been a few months since I posted so here it goes......December was crazy and January has been too. In December we had to replace our shower because the valve got stuck in place and so the water was running constantly at full blast. We had to shut the water main off to keep the bath tub from overflowing. We even had to shower at the gym for a couple of days til we got it fixed. Luckily I have an awesome daddeo that came up to help Mike redo the shower!!! We are so thankful to him!!
January has been even more eventful!! We had two baby showers, two weeks in a row. I am so grateful for wonderful family and friends who were willing to take time out of their lives for us and our new addition coming soon!!! I am so blessed.
And then there was being sick for two and half weeks as well. I have had a cough and cold before, but having a cough when you are pregnant is a whole other story. Sleeping was completely impossible. I am finally now just getting over this nastiness and now Mike is sick. We were ready for Magnolia to make her debut at anytime, but now we want to be completely healthy before she comes...we don't want to chance passing anything to our precious fragile little girl. But tis the season for the flu, colds, and so on.
We are, (well I am) really worried about having a baby at this time of year, so I am going to be really anal about visitors coming over and so on...I apologize in advance, but now everyone is warned right??? You will all get to see her soon!!!
One more update and then I'm done...probably until Magi comes!!! The pregnancy has been going great so far (aside from being sick) except that I have been measuring small. My doc has been great in reasurring me that everything is fine, and that she feels like she is growing normally. However at my last appointment, I am measuring smaller than usual. I am 38 weeks along and my uterus is only measuring at a 31. My doc says there are several reasons for this, one of which is that she has dropped so far into my pelvis. But he does want me to get an ultrasound just to cover all of our bases ie to make sure the due date is correct (it better be cause i've been waiting for 9 1/2 months) to make sure there is enough amniotic fluid, and to make sure that she is the proper weight and size for her age. Mike and I feel that everything is just fine and that she is healthy so we're not too worried. Her heartbeat continues to be strong and fast, and she is moving a lot!! If I remember I'll post the results, but don't expect it cause my pregnancy brain is getting worse!!!
